Clare Halliday
Pursuing a Career in STEM with Hearing Loss: Challenges, Successes, and Accessibility
Clare Halliday, who has been profoundly deaf since birth, overcame challenges to pursue her dream career in biology. She obtained a BSc in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Southampton with support from note-takers and sign language interpreters. Afterward, she earned an MSc in Medical Diagnostics at Cranfield University and entered the workforce. Now, she's pursuing a PhD in STEM, defying her earlier doubts.
